PARK RULES FOR VISITORS OF BELANTIS - THE ADVENTURE KINGDOM

Welcome to BELANTIS - THE ADVENTURE RICH: A day of discovery, amazement, pure action or simply enjoyment awaits you.

Despite all the fun, we still ask you not to neglect the usual consideration and caution.

This means above all to show responsibility for yourself and for others and not to let the rules of politeness go unnoticed.

In addition, we ask you to carefully observe the following rules, our park regulations, which you agree to abide by when you enter BELANTIS.

"Park operator" or "park management" or "we" or "us" in the following respectively means EVENT PARK GmbH, Zur Weißen Mark 1, 04249 Leipzig.

If you have any doubts, comments or questions, please contact our guest support at online@BELANTIS.de or 0341 / 9103-3333.

GUEST RESPONSIBILITY

Although we comply with applicable regulations, we expect and appreciate that guests use good judgment and act responsibly to protect their own health and safety (and that of those in their care). You must act responsibly not only for your own health and safety, but also for the health and safety of those around you.

Guests must READ AND COMPLY with all regulations, recommendations and warnings and properly use the recreational facilities and equipment and safety equipment provided. Guests who do not comply may be ejected from the park without any refund of their admission ticket.

Please refer to the specific guidelines posted at the entrance of each amusement ride.

Every guest in our park agrees to be civil and considerate of other guests and park staff. Please be respectful of park facilities, visitors, staff, flora and fauna.

CONDITIONS OF USE FOR RIDES AND ATTRACTIONS

WARNING: Evaluate your physical and mental abilities BEFORE you "just go for it."

Rides and other attractions in the park can provide wonderful memories and exciting fun for our guests! But amusement rides and water rides can also be adrenaline-pumping activities that place significant stress and strain on your body and senses (e.g., neck and back) and accelerate your heart rate and blood pressure due to rapid acceleration, speed, sudden and unpredictable movements that can move your body in different directions.

DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN ANY RIDE, ACTIVITY OR ATTRACTION IF YOU ARE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL, DRUGS (WHETHER LEGAL DRUGS OR ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES) OR ANY OTHER SUBSTANCE THAT MAY IMPAIR YOUR HEALTH, SENSES, MENTAL ALERTNESS, REFLEXES AND/OR COORDINATION.

DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN ANY RIDES, ACTIVITIES OR ATTRACTIONS IF YOU HAVE OR HAVE HAD ANY HEALTH PROBLEMS OR PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS OR INJURIES, OR IF YOU ARE AFRAID TO PARTICIPATE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO HEART, NERVE, MUSCLE, BACK, NECK, BONE, JOINT, TENDON, LIGAMENT, BRAIN, EYE, EAR, NEUROLOGICAL OR OTHER CONDITIONS OR INJURIES, OR IF YOU ARE (OR MAY BE) PREGNANT OR HAVE HAD SURGERY IN THE PAST FEW MONTHS, OR IF YOU ARE STILL RECOVERING FROM AN ILLNESS, INFIRMITY, MEDICAL CONDITION, TREATMENT OR OTHER MEDICAL PROCEDURE.

ONLY YOU CAN DETERMINE WHETHER YOU ARE PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY HEALTHY ENOUGH TO SAFELY PARTICIPATE IN A PARK RIDE OR OTHER ACTIVITY.

CHECK THAT YOU AND THE PERSONS IN YOUR CARE ARE WITHIN THE HEIGHT, WEIGHT AND AGE RESTRICTIONS. THE PARK DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOUR HEALTH - YOU MUST DECIDE FOR YOURSELF IF YOU ARE FIT TO PARTICIPATE IN A RIDE OR ACTIVITY.

THE OPERATING STAFF IS ENTITLED TO EXCLUDE INDIVIDUAL PERSONS (E.G. DUE TO THEIR SIZE, PHYSICAL BUILD OR PHYSICAL OR MENTAL LIMITATIONS) FROM THE USE OF INDIVIDUAL FACILITIES WITHOUT COMPENSATION IN ORDER TO PROTECT THEIR HEALTH FOR THEIR OWN SAFETY.

EXCLUSION FOR SAFETY REASONS DOES NOT CONSTITUTE DISCRIMINATION, BUT IS FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY ONLY.

REMEMBER THAT YOU ASSUME ALL RISKS OF ANY ACTIVITY IN WHICH YOU CHOOSE TO PARTICIPATE.

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, OUR STAFF WILL BE HAPPY TO ASSIST YOU.

Always check in advance for park operational changes and closed areas, as no refunds will be given for these.

GENERAL OPERATING RULES

Rules and conditions of access and use

  • Dogs may be brought in if they are kept on a leash. In the interest of all theme park visitors, a hygiene kit must be carried by the dog owner. If needed, a kit can be obtained at the ticket store. Dogs must be supervised at all times. No dogs are allowed in the shows or rides. Dangerous dogs as defined by the Saxon Law for the Protection of the Population against Dangerous Dogs may not be brought along out of consideration for other amusement park visitors (e.g. American Staffordshire Terrier, Pit Bull Terrier, Bull Terrier).
  • Other pets/animals are also not allowed in the park. Please do not leave any animals in your vehicle!
  • Your park access privileges expire once you leave the premises. If you wish to leave the premises temporarily, you must notify our staff prior to leaving, as you must properly identify yourself -with an ID stamp or other means of identification as determined by the park- in order to re-enter the premises. Re-entry on the same day is only possible with this means of identification.
  • Persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs may be denied access to the park.
  • It is not permitted to advertise or offer goods or services on the grounds and parking areas of the park or in the areas in front of the entrances without the prior written consent of the management of BELANTIS. This also applies to the conduct of opinion polls and counting.
  • The terraces distributed in the park are intended exclusively for customers who have purchased their food in one of the park's food outlets. Park visitors are welcome to eat their food brought from elsewhere in the picnic areas, at tables and benches for park visitors.

Safety Rules

  • It is imperative that you wear sturdy shoes and durable clothing when using our rides: some attractions are water operated (see Section H Liability).
  • Smoking is not permitted in the buildings and especially in the rides and children's area of the park. The same applies in the waiting areas and restaurants. The fire safety regulations on the park premises must be strictly observed. Lighting fires, lighting fireworks of any kind and barbecuing are prohibited on the entire park premises.
  • Visitors may only use the paths designated for them.
  • Possession and carrying of weapons or dangerous objects (firearms, knives, chains, brass knuckles, etc.) is not allowed on the park premises.
  • The use of remote-controlled aircraft and drones is not permitted in the park.
  • During the use of the rides, the use of film or video cameras, including GoPros, and selfie sticks is not allowed for safety reasons. The same also applies to cell phones and smartphones with camera function as well as comparable devices.
  • In your own interest, it is imperative to follow the instructions of the park staff, especially with regard to the use of the individual rides.
  • Pregnant women are advised not to use the rides for their own safety and the safety of their unborn child.
  • It is prohibited to intentionally make noise or operate portable radios, tape recorders and similar devices.
  • Bringing your own alcoholic beverages is not allowed. Anyone who is obviously drunk or under the influence of drugs will be excluded from using the rides and may be expelled from the park premises without compensation. In this respect, the park operator has the right to refuse someone access to its premises (see Lit. E Right to refuse access and consequences in case of rule violations).
  • For the safety of all park guests, skateboarding, rollerblading and the use of scooters of any kind, bicycles, skates and pedelecs are not permitted on the park premises.
  • Swimming and bathing in the constructed waters is not permitted.
  • For security reasons and to verify compliance with the security standards listed above, the Park reserves the right to allow duly authorized personnel to inspect backpacks, purses, bags or similar items under the circumstances and within the limits established by law

Ticket and voucher rules

  • The grounds of BELANTIS can only be entered with valid admission tickets at the designated entrances for visitors. The admission tickets must be carried during the stay and presented upon request. Children and young people who have not yet reached the age of 12 may only enter the park if accompanied by an adult.
  • The admission ticket for BELANTIS entitles you to use all attractions (except those that may be temporarily closed) of BELANTIS free of charge and as often as you wish during the opening hours of the park and in accordance with the respective rules of use of the attractions. However, the admission ticket does not include the fees for coin-operated attractions, games of skill and such attractions that normally have to be paid separately.
  • If individual attractions cannot be used or do not take place due to maintenance or repair work or due to force majeure (e.g. strong wind, limited visibility, thunderstorms, COVID-19), the visitor is not entitled to a full or pro rata refund of the entrance fee. The same applies in the event that new attractions are not yet completed or individual attractions have to be rebuilt.
  • If your ticket includes a free guest such as a handicapped guide or one free person per 10 school/kindergarten children, this free guest must enter the park at the same time as the ticket holder and on their first entry.

Payment Methods in BELANTIS / Cashless Payments

  • In our park, we prefer cashless payments. At most of our points of sale in the park, such as at the ticket offices, in the restaurants and in the shops, we have cash desks where payment can only be made by bank card or mobile devices. Cash payment is not possible at these points of sale. If you want to pay in cash, there are only selected points of sale available in the park.
  • For more information, please refer to the information signs posted in the park and at the points of sale, as well as the information on the park’s website. If you have any questions about our payment methods, please ask our staff in the park, they will be happy to help you.

Use of park facilities and attractions and courtesy rules.

  • For safety and courtesy reasons, the wearing of outerwear and shoes is mandatory throughout the park. The facilities operated at BELANTIS are made available to you within the framework of the respective rules of use. These specific rules of use and safety regulations, which are posted in text or picture form outside the individual facilities, must be read and strictly observed by all users before using the respective facilities. In addition, the specific instructions of the operating personnel must be followed at all times.
  • Some rides have specific rules regarding the required height, age and physical condition of users. These rules were given to us by the authorities and the TÜV; they also apply in particular to guests with disabilities and pregnant women. Please note that in the case of guests with disabilities who can meet these basic requirements, these guests or the person taking care of them must still decide independently whether the attraction is suitable for them individually. You can also check the park's website for more information: [URL park website attraction information]. Height is measured with shoes on.
  • In order not to disadvantage waiting guests, it is required to exit an attraction after use and re-enter at the entrance.
  • If you knowingly disregard the operating or operating instructions or the instructions of the operating personnel, the operating personnel may exclude you from using the attractions without this giving rise to any claim for damages on your part. The same applies if you attempt to jump the queue.
  • You are liable for all damages resulting from culpable disregard of the regulations for use or caused by culpable (intentional or negligent) actions.

Right to refuse access and consequences in the event of rule violations

The park management is entitled to ask persons who violate the park regulations or who are found on the park premises without a legal admission ticket to leave the park without compensation and, if necessary, to issue a ban on entering the park (also for an unlimited period).

Anyone who harasses other persons, uses the facilities contrary to the respective regulations for use or does not follow the instructions of the operating personnel can be forced to leave the park. In this case, there is no right to reimbursement of the entrance fee, not even partially.

In particular, the park management reserves the right to deny access to or expel from its facilities any person who commits a violation of the following rules:

  •
  • Misuse of admission tickets or vouchers.
  • Vandalism or other culpable damage to park facilities or the personal property of park employees.
  • Conduct that harasses other visitors or seriously interferes with their enjoyment.
  • Leaving minors unsupervised, especially if they exhibit the behaviors described in the preceding paragraphs.
  • Consuming, selling or distributing drugs or narcotics within the park premises. Violators will be immediately ejected from the park and reported to the authorities.

Filming and photography

  • Your film recordings at BELANTIS are permitted for private use within the framework of the KunstUrhG (German Art Copyright Act), i.e. they may require the consent of the person filmed/photographed. •
  • For safety reasons, picture and sound recording for private purposes may be temporarily prohibited.
  • Souvenir photos of the ride are taken at selected rides (Huracan, Dragon Ride, Pharaoh's Curse, Cobra of Amun Ra) and are available for purchase.
  • At BELANTIS, film or webcam recordings and photos are taken at times by the park operator or third parties. Areas and attractions are marked where possible. Please avoid these areas if you do not wish any recordings you may have made to be publicly exploited or broadcast on the Internet via webcam; alternatively, you can inform the photographer / film team. If you do not do this, we assume that such use is permitted free of charge.
  • For safety reasons, our attractions and the park are monitored by camera and video recording (CCTV).

Liability and limitation of liability

We are only liable for damages resulting from the culpable breach of an essential contractual obligation or from intent or gross negligence on the part of the legal representatives or vicarious agents of EVENT PARK GmbH (park operator). If an essential contractual obligation is breached without gross negligence or intent, we shall not be liable for unforeseeable or untypical damage.

We are not liable for the following situations and damages:

  • When using some of our rides, you may get completely wet and/or items you bring with you may be damaged. For this reason, we ask that you do not bring any items that could suffer water damage or other damage (e.g. cameras, video cameras, etc.). Clothing that is rendered unusable or damaged by the effects of water, as well as cameras, video cameras, etc., cannot be compensated.
  • We accept no liability for lost items, in particular for items lost or damaged during the use of a ride. It is not possible to stop or shut down rides in order to recover lost items.
  • For items deposited on rides.
  • Our liability for damages resulting from injury to life, body or health shall remain unaffected by the limitations of liability set forth in this Section H.

Damage Reports

All park facilities are carefully maintained and monitored. If you suffer damage (including property damage, personal injury, and other damages) through no fault of your own, you must report the damage to the Guest Information Desk or (in the case of personal injury) our First Aid Station before leaving the park grounds. Report even if there is reason to believe that an incident may not result in damage until a later date.

A claim for damages is excluded if a possible and reasonable report of damage is made only after the person concerned has left the park.

Duty of supervision

We point out to all parents and guardians of groups to fulfill their duty of supervision carefully, as we cannot release them from this duty. In the event of a breach of the duty of supervision, supervisors and parents bear full responsibility for any damage caused as a result, in accordance with the provisions of the law.

Theft

In case of any theft in the park, the park staff will notify the police and/or the security service.

Resale of admission tickets / season passes - contractual penalty

In order to prevent the resale of admission tickets (this includes discount coupons, annual passes, season passes, free tickets and vouchers of all kinds for food and beverages) and the misuse of season passes, the purchaser is not permitted to do the following:

  • Sell tickets at a higher purchase price than that paid by the purchaser himself. This applies in particular also in the context of a private passing on;
  • to sell admission tickets on a commercial or industrial basis without the express prior written consent of the park operator
  • to use admission tickets in the context of competitions, travel or hospitality offers or publicly for advertising or marketing purposes without the prior written consent of the park operator;
  • Offer admission tickets for sale on Internet auction sites or other Internet platforms, either personally or through third parties;
  • to pass on admission tickets without explicit reference to these park regulations, in particular to this Section L, even if such passing on is not prohibited under this Section L;
  • To pass on season tickets to third parties or to culpably enable third parties to misuse season tickets in any other way.

The park operator is entitled to demand a contractual penalty of €100.00 per violation from persons who pass on and/or offer admission tickets and/or season passes in culpable violation of these provisions. The number of violations is based on the number of admission tickets and/or season passes offered, sold, passed on or used.

In the event of a violation of the aforementioned prohibitions, the admission tickets and season passes shall lose their validity and no longer entitle the holder to visit BELANTIS. Furthermore, the park operator reserves the right to refuse the purchase of admission tickets and season passes in the future to persons who have violated the aforementioned prohibitions and/or to initiate further civil and/or criminal proceedings.
