Buddel invites all new first-graders

Starting school marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in every child's life. To make this milestone even more memorable, BELANTIS invites families to its annual School Cone Festival on Saturday, 15 August 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Alongside thrilling rides and family attractions, first graders and their families can look forward to a varied programme packed with entertainment, surprises and unforgettable moments.

Children starting school in 2026 – regardless of which German federal state they live in – receive free admission on this special day. Registration or ticket booking in advance is required, and each child must be accompanied by two paying guests aged 11 or older. This allows newly enrolled pupils to celebrate this important milestone together with their families and friends while enjoying roller coasters, family attractions and countless adventures.

One of the day's highlights is an interactive stage programme centred around the very first school lesson, symboli cally welcoming children into this exciting new phase of life. Afterwards, first graders can enjoy an exclusive meet & greet with Asterix and Obelix and receive a generously filled traditional school cone containing a variety of goodies provided by BELANTIS' partners.

A colourful entertainment programme, included in the regular park admission for all visitors, will keep guests of all ages entertained throughout the day. From 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Radio TEDDY will broadcast live from the family theme park near Leipzig, with presenters Alina and Sandra hosting the event. Visitors can take part in the BELANTIS adventure rally, solve interactive puzzle challenges, spin the prize wheel, enjoy arts and crafts activities, and get glitter tattoos or face painting.

The programme is further enhanced by interactive activities hosted by BELANTIS' partners. Kaufland, Bullis Bande from RB Leipzig, DECATHLON and the ADAC will offer engaging experiences inviting families to discover, participate and have fun together. The School Cone Festival therefore becomes much more than a celebration of starting school – it is a full-day family event filled with entertainment and memorable experiences.

Whether it's the thrill of a roller coaster, quality time with loved ones or celebrating the first steps into school life, the BELANTIS School Cone Festival combines the magic of this special milestone with a day full of adventure, creating memories that will last for years to come.
