As a “Belaner,” you’re not just one of up to 300 employees at BELANTIS, the first and largest amusement park in central Germany, but also part of the amusement park operator Compagnie des Alpes.
With hospitality, warmth, and the desire to give our guests a wonderful, safe, and varied experience every day, we love coming to work. This also shapes how we interact with each other.
Here, you will experience and live…
The pride of working in an amusement park and the joy of making people happy every day through your work.
Support and guidance, even as a career changer, in areas such as gastronomy, service, sales, or attractions, opening new professional perspectives.
A welcoming atmosphere and teamwork that foster connection and even friendships.
A personal workplace culture with informal address and flat decision-making structures.
A genuine culture of welcome: no matter your age, origin, or background, we are all BELANERS!
A workplace outdoors in the Leipzig New Lake District, surrounded by forests, lakes, and bike paths, yet only a 15-minute drive from Leipzig city center.
A job that allows you to maintain a private life alongside work. With flexible shift and work schedules, typically during day shifts, you can find balance. Even though summer weekends are busy, the part-time and winter seasons are yours and your family’s!
With an apprenticeship at an amusement park, you not only attend the most exciting vocational school, but you also benefit from a highly varied training program with real responsibility:
Seasonal variety: BELANTIS is open from April to October. Your tasks take place around the attractions, in the restaurants, and close to our guests. In winter, you will learn the administrative processes behind the scenes.
Responsibility from day one: In our small teams, you take on responsibility early. As a trainee in gastronomy or park operations, you are integrated into multiple teams from the first year and support personnel selection, onboarding, and coordination of new colleagues.
No day is the same: Alternating between quiet and busy days, special events such as corporate parties or Halloween, and constantly changing decorations and activities ensure that there’s never a dull moment.
Supportive mentorship: Our full-time professional supervisors are your fixed points of contact. You will receive regular, two-way feedback sessions aimed at helping you successfully complete your training.
Career perspective: Even after your apprenticeship, we want to offer you a future. We look first to our own trainees to fill leadership and administrative positions.
Small, focused trainee teams: With only one to two new apprentices per profession each year, you join a small team that receives thorough training.
Your vocational school:
For a career in leisure & tourism: Sedlitz* (South Brandenburg) or Weimar (Thuringia)
For a career in gardening and landscaping: Wurzen*
For a career in warehouse and logistics: Schkeuditz near Leipzig
For a career in event management: Riesa*
* If attending vocational school involves significant travel, we provide financial compensation and tips for accommodation during block weeks.
Working hours:
During the summer season, working hours in leisure & tourism and gastronomy follow BELANTIS’ opening times.
In winter and in other training professions, early shifts apply (e.g., 7 AM in gardening/landscaping, 9 AM in events). Weekend shifts are compensated with weekdays off.
Training salary:
Fair and increasing annually.
We provide advice on financial support to help with your first apartment, tutoring, or daily commuting costs, so you don’t face difficulties at month’s end.
Additional benefits that make BELANTIS an excellent training company are detailed in the next section.
