At the construction site of Idefix’ Adventure Land at BELANTIS – The Adventure Kingdom, activity is in full swing. Where just a few weeks ago the focus was mainly on structural work and technical installa tions, a richly detailed experience world is now taking shape step by step, bringing the world of Asterix, Obelix, and Idefix to life. Work is progressing according to schedule, and the opening of the new themed area is still planned for late spring, specifically the end of May.

Amid construction cranes, scaffolding, and themed façades, teams are currently working in parallel on both construction and design phases. Initial attractions are already being assembled, while in other areas installation, cladding, and decorative work are still underway. Detailed scenes are taking shape, inspired by the well-known Gallic adventures – from rustic village structures to playful, child-friendly experience areas. The thematic design is increasingly taking center stage: characters, sets, and props are being installed, incorporating iconic elements from the world of the indomitable Gauls. Natural ma terials, warm colors, and carefully crafted details ensure that the new themed area feels like a walk-through Asterix adventure.

Alongside the visible construction progress, technical and organizational preparations are already underway behind the scenes. Rides are being tested, safety procedures reviewed, and initial internal trial operations are being carried out. Staff are also preparing intensively to ensure a seamless and cohesive experience for guests right from the start.

“Right now, a lot is happening in many areas at once,” says Martin Endruhn, Director of Park Operations at BELAN TIS. “It’s especially exciting to see how the theming is increasingly coming to life, bringing the world of Asterix and Obelix step by step into a tangible experience.” The focus is now on the final stages of refinement: testing, detailed design work, and the coordination of all proces ses. With every step, Idefix’s Adventure Land continues to grow into a new, immersive experience area at BELANTIS – The Adventure Kingdom.
